Hello everyone, I am Shivansh Tyagi.

In the Year 2020, During the COVID-19 pandemic, I somehow figured out my destiny “I-HEAL Foundation”. I have something in my heart since childhood that always inclined me towards working for society but I never understood it in the form of a path that I need to follow.

Background:

In 2014 after completing my 12th, I enrolled for CA. Everything was going as planned. However, in 2016, an emotional crisis struck as my nephew went missing. Someone took him when he was returning from school. In search of my nephew, I wandered whole Delhi and NCR and wherever I got any lead. During that search, my view of our society completely changed. This world is so beautiful when you are under the protection of your parents/guardian, once that protection is not there then this world seems so harsh.

I found lakhs of children who are living their precious lives like a living hell. They get up, search for scrap, and buy drugs then if some money remains go for food and then sleep. They repeat this process day by day and their ways of getting money get broader as they become older, which includes crimes also.

We come across with these children in our daily lives and simply curse them or their parents. My team and I opted out of the passive observers’ group. Instead, we initiated a movement to transition these children from the streets to schools, to restore their stolen childhood.

With time, my platform grew, and today, I dedicate my full-time efforts to social service. Our aim is to endow every child with a meaningful life.

In January 2017, we started our journey by identifying needy & deserving students and first taught them in remote camps organized in their nearby area. Once they developed an interest in study then we also registered them in regular schools. Since they created their interest in study, they didn’t drop out of school early and were also able to actively participate in school.

Back then I was not able to increase my scale and couldn’t figure out the road map to deliver my vision, I researched a lot and tried to experience various problems faced by children personally. By god’s grace in 2020 I was able to build a model in which we could ensure that we can change the life of every single child that we touch. Now we have guidance and support which enables us to do this on a larger scale. Now, I am full-time engaged in social service with the help of six school Principals, 20 plus teachers, a few volunteers and a bunch of sponsors who adopted the education of children. With the help of all of you we are trying to make every child’s life meaningful to them and society as well.

What we are doing:

• Empowering Orphaned Students: We integrate orphaned students into mainstream of society with the help of education
• Educating Working Children: We educate employed children during off-hours (like early morning or late night)
• Bridging Educational Gaps: For regular students, from Govt schools even those who studies in prestigious schools
• Parents Counselling: We encourage poor parents to send their children to schools and we take responsibility to fill the education gap between their knowledge level and school level.
• Collaborating with Govt Schools: We work in parallel with govt schools to improve the efficiency of their education system.
• Navigating Online Learning: Online education is a door of affordable opportunities to economically disadvantaged parents and students hence we also provide support to children to face the online study mechanism

Our Achievements:

• We had been through 10,000 plus students from below poverty line and help them to stand strongly for themselves.
• Every year we enrol 100 students in various classes and their whole education expenses are borne by us (Up to class 10).
• Maintained a 90% pass rate, empowering children with understanding.
• For the last 6 years, we have successfully been able to ensure that every child who came to us, either walked away from us due to any reason or they achieved, what they wished to be. There is nothing in between.
• We have taken the initiative to identification of our true needs with a slogan (जरुरत हो तो ले जाएँ और अतिरिक्त हो तो जाएँ), under which we build a platform on which needy people can take essentials and share essentials without using monetary exchanges. Essentials include clothes, medicines, raw food, and books etc.

Our Belief:

As per our limited exposure and information we have concluded that there is only one way to change this world, i.e. holistic upbringing of every child which covers equal opportunity of mental, physical and behaviour growth to every child irrespective of their economical background. All elderly people know what’s wrong and what’s right but they still struggled to take the right decisions. we can’t expect more from them and we kust can’t change them py providing any sort of information we have on planet. Still mostly organizations are striking their head on them endlessly due to abundance of funds. Many religious/spiritual gurus are trying to treat their mental problems and many NGOS tried to end their physical sufferings but it didn’t seem to end in either way. We prudentially chosen children over adults as they are the real victims who rotting in living hell — a life full of hunger, substance abuse, sexual exploitation, torture and crime. Hence, we decided to devoted our efforts, life and resources towards children as they seem only hope to us to make this nation great again. and not even this nation we want to make the whole world a better place to live. We have a belief that every child born into this world has its own role to play and to do the same, God must give him/her some special ability to fulfil his/her job. Our dream is to find and polish the same so that every child lives his/her true destiny.

About 258 million children and youth are out of school, according to UIS data for the school year ending in 2018. The total includes 59 million children of primary school age, 62 million of lower secondary school age and 138 million of upper secondary age.

Also, children who are already enrolled in any school still fail to contribute to society in a meaningful way. Our target is not only to cover those who are left behind but also to bring back on track those who are getting flow in some meaningless direction.
As per above mentioned data and our experience we conclude that every one of fortunate us need to adopt at least one child’s education to make them as an asset for this country. You can do this at your own or with the help of anyone. But this is my humble request please do it.
There is no Heaven above and no Hell below, no angel is sent from above and no devil is rise from below. All of these is existed in heart of every person. Please be an angel in someone’s life and make a family/society around the child Heaven.
